I Invented Sex

Mr. Songz you may not have invented sex, but you damn sure could've invented four play! HELLO! So as we all know, Trey songz debuted his lastest video, "I Invented Sex" on twitter and 106 & Park yesterday. If you have yet to see it, check it out...

So now that it's been seen what are your thoughts? I wonder what the FCC or better yet, the PTC (Parents Television Council) are thinking right now. Trey hunny, we love your voice, we love your style, and your are a handsome man, but has this video taken sexual innuendo too far? Reaction all over the internet has compared it to "soft porn." I understand the concept of the song and how the video reflects it, but was this a wise choice as a single? Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but look at the age range of people in the audience at 106. The first time I watched it, it made me a little uncomfortable. Ok, so you say, "Well look at all these other videos they're playing", and I totally agree, but I'm talking about this one right now (that's a totally different entry... Coming Soon). The video is HOTT, but is it too racey for the audience it's been presented to?

Gone Too Soon

"Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight...Here One Day, Gone One Night"
It's been what, 4 weeks since Michael Jackson passed and the reality is still impossible for some people to grasp! Am I one of those? You better believe it... My eyes still wail up every time I hear that part from this song ("Gone Too Soon")!... So we've got the news, went out and purchased his records, saw the memorial, but now what's next? Is music really finished?... In a sense, music as we've known it is done-zo... But honestly, music died back when the Macarana hit air waves! Now we've got to look forward to more songs focused on celebrity look-a-likes, drunk basement dances, and loose lyrical content. Nothing against those artist what so ever, but what happened to musics original purpose, style and floetry? I fear for what my children will have to look forward to. Hell, I fear for what my "Oldies" stations will sound like. Will groups like Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz, GS Boys, and New Boyz replace The Jackson 5, The Commodores, Boyz II Men and the O'Jay's? Will having an out of tune conversation replace natural flow? And will ass grabbing, dry humping, tae bo moves really replace the beauty dancing once was? SMH!!!
I know you're like who is this chick to think our generation has no talent, no muse, no staying factor!!! I'm no one, I'm just a lover of quality. I hate hearing people live only to have realized the only thing that gave them their talent, was the boards and mixers in the studio. So many real artist are out here unnoticed because of these frauds. So much talent is going to waste. But it's not my decision on who gets record deals and radio play, well at least not yet! But best believe, when my opportunity comes, only those with natural talent will be heard. Don't get me wrong, we do have some true musically gifted artist! Beyonce, Monica, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Ne-Yo, Jay-Z, Nas, Mario, T.I., Maxwell, Jennifer Hudson... OK I'm not about to list a bunch a folks, but you all know who I'm speaking about. Even if you may not agree with the artist I mentioned, you should understand what I'm saying!
Alright, I think I've done enough venting... I just wanted to pay my respects to MJ and music in general... So for those who don't understand the doors MJ opened, the barriers he crossed, the origination he brought to the music game, Man, words just can't express. Michael, although I never got the chance to meet you, you're music touched my soul, you're whole heartedness (is that even a word?) touched my spirit, and your loving way's gives us all an example of how to use the gifts God gave us to bless others around us. May the Lord Bless your soul, your music will live on forever!

WELCOME

I've never done the blog thing, so bare with me as I take on a new venture in my life... Take the time to enter the thoughts in my mind from politics to of course entertainment (my main focus)!.. No it's not going to be the broadcast/journalist writing I was taught, these things are coming straight from my mind, my thoughts, my words, my opinions :0) So let's see how I do! *SMOOCHES*
